Cookie Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains how Kinetiqo Ltd uses cookies and similar storage technologies on the Kinetiqo website, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — such as local storage — let a site remember information between visits. Together they help a website function and remember your preferences.

How we use them

We keep our use deliberately minimal. Essential local storage remembers your interface preferences, such as whether you have chosen the light or dark theme, and is always active. Beyond that we use analytics, which is loaded only if you accept it in the cookie banner and never before. We do not use advertising cookies.

Categories we use

Storage on the Kinetiqo site falls into these categories:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the site to work, such as security and basic functionality. These do not require consent.
  • Preferences — remember your choices, such as your theme. We store the theme in your browser's local storage.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, used to understand how pages are used, how visitors move from this site into the Kinetiqo app, and how often this site is cited in AI answers. Neither is loaded until you accept analytics in the cookie banner, and never before. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_ followed by a stream identifier, both on this domain and both expiring two years after your most recent visit; Google processes this data on our behalf and we do not use it for advertising. Clarity sets its own cookies and records a pseudonymised replay of the pages you visit; form fields are masked so what you type is not captured. You can withdraw consent at any time from the cookie settings — the change applies from your next page load.

Managing cookies and storage

You can control or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or remove them, though doing so may affect how the site remembers your preferences.

Under PECR, non-essential cookies require your consent. Analytics storage is non-essential, so it is set only after you accept it in the banner shown on your first visit, where rejecting is offered as prominently as accepting. You can change your decision at any time through ‘Manage cookies’ in the footer.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes. When we do, we will revise the last-updated date at the top of this page.
